01 / Our perspective

More than
a résumé.

Success is a story.
Not a genetic promise.

We believe a thoughtful donor search makes room for the whole person: their outlook, their values, their curiosity, and the way they move through the world.

Achievement can tell you something about a life. It cannot predict a child’s health, personality, or future. Your choices deserve more nuance than that.

Put your priorities into perspective
Look beyond the obvious

What matters to you?

A few good questions can open
a much bigger conversation.

01 / Curiosity

A mind that
keeps exploring.

What do they love learning? What draws their attention? A person’s interests can be a meaningful part of their story.

02 / Character

A grounded way
of being.

Kindness, perspective, and a sense of responsibility. Consider the values you want to understand, not traits you can guarantee.

03 / Openness

Room for an
honest conversation.

Family history, identity-release policies, and future contact. Make space for the practical questions as well as the personal ones.

These are starting points for reflection, not donor profiles or predictions about a future child.

02 / For future parents

A big decision.
Small, clear steps.

You don’t need to have all the answers. Just a place to start asking the right questions.

No account. No personal details. Just a little clarity.
  1. 01

    Start with your priorities.

Think about your family, your timeline, and the donor information that matters most to you.

  2. 02

Get clear on the clinical side.

Talk with a licensed fertility provider about screening, treatment options, storage, and the medical details of your situation.

  3. 03

Make space for the long view.

Consider identity disclosure, legal guidance, and how you’ll share your family’s story with a future child.

Gentle ocean waves beneath an open sky
A good life can make room for something bigger.
03 / For prospective donors

There’s more
to giving back.

Considering sperm donation? Begin with the responsibilities, not the résumé.

Learn what medical screening involves, how consent and identity policies work, and what a long-term commitment could mean for you and donor-conceived people.

Eligibility and compensation are determined by individual licensed donation programs. We don’t process samples or accept donor applications through this site.

A little more clarity

Good
questions.

Some things are worth
understanding from the start.

What does “successful” mean here?
A considered life—not a promised outcome. We’re interested in curiosity, character, and perspective. Professional or educational achievement doesn’t establish genetic quality and cannot guarantee a child’s abilities, personality, or future.
Can I browse or purchase donor samples here?
No. This website provides educational information and a personal planning tool. Donor availability, selection, screening, purchase, and storage must be arranged directly with an appropriately licensed sperm bank or fertility provider.
Where should I start with medical questions?
Start with a licensed fertility clinician who can review your circumstances. Ask about infectious-disease screening, genetic carrier screening, donor medical and family history, treatment options, and the limits of each type of screening. This site is not medical advice.
What is identity-release donation?
In an identity-release program, a donor agrees to specified identifying information being made available under the program’s rules, often when a donor-conceived person reaches adulthood. Policies differ. Ask your provider about eligibility, timing, contact expectations, and record retention. Consumer DNA testing also means lifelong anonymity cannot be assured.
Is this for every kind of family?
Yes. Our educational resources are for single parents by choice, LGBTQ+ families, couples, and anyone exploring donor conception. Your clinical and legal needs may differ; qualified professionals can help you understand your options.
Do you store my planning answers?
No. The planning tool runs in your browser. It does not ask for your name, email, medical history, or payment details, and it does not send your answers to a server. You can choose to download your plan to your own device.
